Capcom in Brentwood
BC • 50,000 square feet
From our friends at Turner Construction Company an inside look into Capcom’s now retired HQ in Burnaby. This beautiful Japanese themed-office renovation included polygonal origami-inspired millwork walls and a Zen garden. These one-of-a-kind elements were paired with hand-drawn graphics complimenting Capcom’s game repertoire, offering a unique experience to any visitor of the office. The striking build out was completed back in 2017 and unfortunately shortly thereafter the gaming studio suspended their Canadian operations. It’s still one of our favourite spaces.

Construction
Turner provided pre-construction and construction services for the two-an-a-half floor, 50,000 sq. ft. office tenant improvement, located in the Brentwood area of Burnaby.
Features included a slab opening between two floors with a Zen garden and a two-storey projection screen, custom millwork slat ceilings and “clean” walls provided an overall Japanese theme. Beloved Capcom characters are featured throughout the space in floor to ceiling murals which line the corridors, there are also numerous focal meeting rooms with Polygonal “Origami Walls”. Special requirements included construction of audio/visual rooms, consisting of acoustical rated assemblies up to STC-50 as well as coordination of site reviews with an acoustic consultant.
Within the scope Tuner also built a commercial-grade kitchen with custom millwork seating arrangements.
