It’s a team that Robin de Pelham, VP People and Culture, describes as fun and quirky combined with a shared drive for results. With a focus on corporate openness, open culture and a flat hierarchy, Robin and her team worked to create a custom-design postmodern space that would emblemize these shared values.

The Project

When embarking on this project, Mogo offered the sage advice that it’s nearly impossible to make 100% of your team happy with one space or one design. They felt it would be best to meet the overall needs of the team, and most importantly to ensure the company is set up for growth.

 

The Space

A few things that worked particularly well about the space is the breakout areas, flexible workspaces and a mix of private and group areas. When we first interviewed Mogo about their space in 2017, well before COVID-19, they talked about future-proofing their office – at the time this meant designing transitional space for future employees and offering a work-from-home program (along with desk-sharing) to ensure they could space with their team and continue to offer workplace flexibility.
