950 Granville Street Demolition

Tech Office recently visited Bonnis Properties’ development at 950 Granville (consolidated as 950, 958 and 968 Granville St.)  Demolition of the site is underway to begin the construction of the first phase’s four-storey concept.

As reported by Urbanized earlier this year, a six storey concept of the building (if approved) could have a density of 4.5x floor space ratio with at least 16,800 SF of retail and up to 77,700 SF of office space.

The additional density will likely not be entertained until the municipal government completes their planning process for the Granville Entertainment District (GED) between Drake and Robson streets, which is expected to begin in 2022.

An earlier version of the development application was submitted in 2019 with design firm Perkins&Will, with a higher proportion of retail space.

Bonnis Properties also owns the Best Buy/Winners building at 798 Granville Street, 526 Granville Street and the proposed extensive redevelopment of the 800 block of Granville Street.
