We’re excited to share that Techcouver recently profiled Floorspace in a feature exploring how we’re redefining commercial real estate through our proprietary platform, FLO.
Our co-founders Matt and Lindsay Carlson spoke with Techcouver editor Robert Lewis about why they built FLO, how it changed our business, and their vision for the future of commercial real estate.

“We’ve lived the pain,” says Matt in the article. “Spreadsheets, email threads, last-minute marketing. Too much of it was manual and disconnected.”
That’s exactly why we created FLO. Instead of juggling tools that don’t talk to each other, FLO brings everything into one place. From prospecting and touring to negotiating and closing, it gives brokers a faster, more organized way to work.
More Than a Tool
What started as an internal solution quickly became something bigger. As Lindsay put it, “Once we started using it internally, it was clear that FLO wasn’t just a tool. It was our operating system.”
FLO isn’t just another CRM. It was built around how brokers actually work. That means:
- Tracking projects in real time
- Gaining insights with live market data
- Reducing admin so brokers can focus on relationships
FLO gives structure without slowing anyone down.

What’s Next for Floorspace
We’re focused on two main goals. First, we’re growing into new Canadian markets through regional partnerships. Second, we’re continuing to improve our technology with smarter workflows and better data.
The big picture is even more ambitious. We’re working to help shape a new model for commercial real estate – one where people and product go hand in hand.
“Tech won’t replace brokers,” Lindsay said. “It makes them better.”
