SGH Design Partners gives Tech Office a behind the scenes look into the PagerDuty Toronto HQ.
Founded in Toronto and a leader in digital operations management platforms for business, PagerDuty was looking to move into a larger space with opportunities for growth.
Through its SaaS-based platform, PagerDuty empowers DevOps, developers, IT operations and business leaders to prevent and resolve business impacting incidents for exceptional customer experience. PagerDuty clients include the likes of IBM, Panasonic and Vancouver’s own Lululemon.

After having outgrown their space on Queen Street West, SGH Design Partners was retained to lead the process around designing and moving to their new home.
In Toronto’s fast growing technology sector, PagerDuty was looking to attract and retain talent by creating a space that promoted team building, open collaboration and overall employee wellness.

With an emphasis on promoting their brand and creating a desirable space for their team, the buildout included enclosed/open meeting spaces with the latest tech, standardized benching stations and a large lunchroom/games area that would also serve as an all-hands or town-hall space when gathering in larger groups (prior to Covid-19).
PagerDuty also took great care to future-proof their space and provide room for growth. A portion of the space was designed to be demised, to accommodate shorter term subtenants, so the fast growing company could reclaim this same space in the future as they continued to expand their workforce.
