Homegrown Vancouver startup Mobify announced today that they’ve signed a definitive agreement with Salesforce, to add to their Salesforce Commerce Cloud.

Mobify’s CEO, Igor Faletski, announced today that he’s thrilled to share the news of their definitive agreement with Salesforce, with the subsequent closing planned for October 2020.
Team members from Mobify will join Salesforce’s growing team in Vancouver, to provide “Salesforce Commerce Cloud with a modern storefront solution that will allow brands to customize their commerce experiences faster and more frequently” and to deliver an enhanced omni-channel shopping experience.

Founded in 2007 by Igor Faletski, John Boxall and Peter McLachlan after connecting at Simon Fraser University, the company experienced traction early after their launch. Their team grew from humble beginnings in a shared condo, to their first office in a heritage building in Gastown at 311 West Pender Street, to a larger space at 948 Homer Street in Yaletown and ultimately a 25,000 square foot HQ at 725 Granville Street above Nordstrom at the corner of Granville and West Georgia.
From their acquisition announcement:
Delivering a modern digital experience is more important than ever. The world has transitioned to a digital-first economy, and online has become the lifeline for many businesses.
Igor Faletski, CEO at Mobify
And with more consumers shopping online during the COVID-19 pandemic this trend is only expected to continue into 2021 and beyond.
