The growth of US tech companies in Vancouver continues, with another California-based software company expanding in the downtown financial core.
It was announced earlier this week that human capital management provider Workday will be expanding their Canadian presence, with an anchor lease for approximately 27,000 square feet at 601 West Hastings Street.
601 West Hastings Street
601 West Hastings is being built by local developer PCI Group, who has completed numerous office projects in Vancouver, including the new office building at 565 Great Northern Way adjacent to the new Emily Carr Campus.
The building on Hastings has approximately 210,000 square feet of total space over 25 floors with sweeping views of the water and mountains from the upper floors. Located across from Waterfront Station and immediately west of SFU Harbour Centre, tenants will have access to numerous amenities including a large fitness facility, change rooms, showers, bike storage and a common rooftop patio.
PCI started construction of 601 West Hastings in 2018 with a target completion date of fall 2021. In addition to Workday, the building has received interest from a variety of technology and professional services firms.
